Tulsa Newcomer

My mom started blogging a few years ago when she moved to another state, and I decided I might as well do the same. Like mother, like daughter.

I received mixed reviews from others when I told them about my move. Some said it was risky, something they would never consider doing. Others had a more positive outlook and applauded me for following my heart. Either way, I'm content with my decision and am excited about this new journey!

On the drive to Tulsa, I started noticing some unique signage. For example, there were signs asking drivers and their passengers to not litter:

Call me biased, but I prefer "Don't mess with Texas". When I see or hear the word "grand", it conjures up images of castles, picturesque landscapes, etc. Not Oklahoma (no offense).

There was also this informative billboard:

I didn't realize there was a meth problem here. Good to know. I think the sign placement is interesting. When I see this, the first thing I think of is "Let's get liquored up and go fight the war on meth."

Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to do much exploring since I've been here. One place I definitely want to check out soon is the outdoor shopping center, Utica Square. Lots of boutiques!! My kind of place. :)
